Perimeter VRM Monitor is a component of the Perimeter Vendor Risk Management (VRM) platform that provides continuous attack surface monitoring and security rating for organizations and their vendor networks. The tool collects real-time attack surface data using a proprietary sourcing algorithm, gathering intelligence internally rather than relying on third-party or batch data sources. This allows it to surface risks that may emerge between periodic assessments. A proprietary scoring algorithm evaluates billions of data points to produce vendor security scores across four domains: data security, domain reputation, email security, and network security. Monitor correlates internet-facing attack surface data with vendor assessment responses using AI algorithms, identifying inconsistencies and presenting a consolidated view of a vendor's security gaps. Users receive real-time alerts when adverse changes are detected in an organization's or vendor's security posture. Actionable intelligence is provided alongside identified risks to facilitate timely remediation. Notably, vendors can receive access to their own Monitor findings at no cost. The platform includes visual dashboards and reporting tools that display security performance over time for both the organization and its vendor network. Reports can be shared with vendors to support remediation dialogue.
