OpenText Core Email Continuity
Ensures email access during outages with automatic failover and sync.
OpenText Core Email Continuity Description
OpenText Core Email Continuity is a business continuity solution that maintains email access during primary mail server outages. The service automatically provisions through a central portal and runs in the background until needed. When a primary mail server goes down, email messages are spooled at the spam filter and users are redirected to a secure web portal or can access messages through Outlook using POP or IMAP protocols. Users can access up to 30 days of stored email history during an outage. During downtime, users can read, reply, forward, and compose messages as usual through either the web portal or Outlook integration. The solution provides automatic failover protection to prevent productivity loss and service disruption. Once the primary mail server is restored, all email activity from the continuity period automatically syncs back to the primary system, ensuring seamless message continuity. This includes sent items and all mail activity performed during the outage. The solution requires either OpenText Core Email Threat Protection or OpenText Core Advanced Email Threat Protection to function. It supports data center options in the U.S., U.K., or Switzerland for compliance needs. No additional hardware installation is required as the service operates automatically.
