NetWatcher is a managed cybersecurity and network monitoring platform designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It provides continuous, 24/7 network security monitoring with the support of a team of cybersecurity analysts who review and respond to threats on behalf of customers. The platform identifies potential threats and vulnerabilities originating from both internal (employee) and external sources, enabling organizations to detect and remediate security issues in a timely manner. It also provides visibility into network hygiene factors such as weak passwords, asset inventory, unsafe user behavior, and outdated software. Users access a web-based member portal where they can review real-time security alarms and vulnerability data, contact support, and configure SMS or email alerts for security events. NetWatcher targets regulated industries including banking, credit unions (GLBA), financial services (FINRA), healthcare (HIPAA), manufacturing, legal services (ABA), U.S. government contractors (NIST 800-171), and organizations subject to NY DFS 23 NYCRR 500. The platform is offered at a monthly subscription rate aimed at mid-market enterprises. NetWatcher was acquired by Qualys on November 29th, adding its threat detection, incident response, and compliance management capabilities to the Qualys Cloud Platform.
