Soliton NetAttest EPS
IEEE 802.1X-based NAC using digital certs for wired, Wi-Fi & VPN access.
Soliton NetAttest EPS Description
NetAttest EPS is a port-based Network Access Control (NAC) solution that implements the IEEE 802.1X standard to provide authentication and authorisation for network access. It is designed to control who can access a network by applying the three core principles of NAC: Authentication, Authorisation, and Accounting (AAA). The solution uses digital certificates as the primary authentication mechanism, removing reliance on end-user credential input to reduce human error. Certificates can be issued for users and their devices, and are managed through a self-enrolment process that allows users to request certificates on their own devices without requiring IT intervention. NetAttest EPS is suited for networks of varying sizes, supporting single or multiple locations. It protects wired (802.1X port-based), Wi-Fi, and VPN access. The system is compatible with unmanaged and BYOD devices across various operating systems. Key operational aspects include: - Self-service certificate enrolment via a user-friendly application - Proactive certificate expiry notifications to minimise downtime - Short-life certificate management for improved security posture - Rapid deployment, with setup reported in approximately 5 minutes - Offloading of certificate management tasks from IT and Help Desk teams - Audit trail generation to support regulatory compliance reporting
