Soliton Systems Description
Soliton Systems is a Japan-headquartered technology company founded in 1979 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company operates two main business divisions: IT Security and Secure Video Streaming & Control. In its IT Security division, Soliton develops and delivers solutions targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on reducing attack surfaces through strong authentication, network access control, and least-privilege access to networks and applications. Key products include NetAttest, a wireless LAN authentication server; EPS 5.0, an all-in-one Network Access Control solution; SecureDesktop and WrappingBox for secure remote working; InfoTrace, a log collection and tracking system; and Soliton OneGate, a unified identity and password-free authentication platform. FileZen and HiQZen are offered as file transfer appliances. In its Secure Video Streaming division, Soliton develops real-time 4G/5G video transmission technology under the Smart-telecaster (STC) and Zao product lines, targeting broadcast, surveillance, and teleoperation use cases with ultra-low latency live streaming capabilities. The company maintains offices in Tokyo (HQ), Shanghai, Amsterdam, and San Jose, and employs over 750 people. Soliton emphasizes in-house R&D and has historically positioned itself as the largest IT security provider in Japan across multiple product categories. Its IT security solutions are distributed in Europe through Soliton Systems Europe N.V., established in the Netherlands in 2015.
