RoboForm Data Breach Check Description
RoboForm Data Breach Check is a tool that allows users to verify if their email addresses have been compromised in known data breaches. The service queries the Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) database to identify breaches associated with a provided email address. The tool uses hash anonymization methods to protect user privacy during the checking process. Neither RoboForm nor HIBP stores or views the full email address or associated data during queries. When a breach is detected, the service displays what types of data were compromised in the incident. The free version allows users to perform individual email checks. RoboForm Premium subscribers receive continuous monitoring for up to 5 email addresses with instant alerts when new breaches involving their emails are detected. The tool identifies various types of compromised data including passwords, credit card details, bank account information, authentication tokens, password hints, PINs, and security questions. For each type of compromised data, the service provides recommended actions such as changing passwords, contacting financial institutions, or updating security settings. The service is accessible through a web interface and requires reCAPTCHA verification to prevent automated abuse. Users must agree to RoboForm's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to use the tool.
