Terafence Vsecure 20/50

Vsecure 20/50 is a hardware appliance from Terafence designed to protect IoT/NoT devices, such as IP cameras on segmented networks, from TCP/IP-based attacks. The device uses proprietary FPGA hardware to physically and logically enforce data-flow direction, creating an isolation architecture between network segments (e.g. IP-camera VLANs) that blocks unauthorized inbound and outbound information flow. This prevents connected devices from being remotely controlled or misused as attack vectors, and restricts outbound traffic from compromised devices. Vsecure also functions as a centralized management platform for IP camera devices, providing automated password changes, firmware upgrades, activity monitoring, and alarm/report generation based on device behavior such as downtime and bit rate thresholds. It includes a secure command-and-control channel for sending commands to end devices, and can disconnect suspiciously infected devices or networks from company infrastructure. The appliance is available in 20, 50, and 100 video-channel models, housed in a 19-inch half-size rack-mount unit with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports and support for up to 1Gbps aggregated throughput. Optional and future-release features include video stream encryption, camera hardware power cycling, vandalism/alteration detection, video compression for bandwidth reduction, load balancing, and high-availability clustering.
