SkyWAF is a web application firewall that filters and monitors HTTP/HTTPS requests to websites, blocking malicious traffic while allowing legitimate users access. It works alongside SkyEdge and provides Layer 7 protection against CC attacks (HTTP flood) using rate limiting and behavioral analysis to distinguish normal users from malicious traffic, helping keep websites and applications available during volumetric attacks. The product includes a built-in OWASP rule set covering common application layer attacks such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF, with real-time interception intended to prevent data leakage and unauthorized access. Administrators can configure custom access control rules based on headers, IP address, geographic location, request method, or status code, and define actions such as allow, block, drop, or redirect for layered policy enforcement. Stated use cases include protection for e-commerce platforms against SQL injection, XSS, and malicious bots to keep checkout processes and transactions secure.
