Secvant

Secvant is a browser-based suite of security and privacy utilities that perform cryptographic and data-handling operations locally, without transmitting files, passwords, or passphrases to Secvant's servers. All processing runs client-side using browser APIs, meaning sensitive data remains on the user's device during normal tool use. Tools included: - Vault: Encrypts and decrypts files locally, producing a proprietary .vault format - Pass: Generates passwords and passphrases - Compare: Performs byte-for-byte file comparison in the browser - Hash: Computes SHA-256 and SHA-512 hashes for files and text - Usernames: Generates random username aliases locally - Breach Check: Checks passwords against known breach databases using k-anonymity (only a partial hash prefix is transmitted, not the full password) - Send: Transfers encrypted files peer-to-peer - Hide: Conceals messages or files inside PNG images (steganography) - CVE Search: Looks up CVE vulnerability entries and CVSS scores - QR: Generates QR codes for URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contacts, and other data - EXIF Remover: Views and strips image metadata including GPS coordinates Secvant publishes SHA-256 hashes of security-critical code releases for integrity verification, and documents its security architecture and threat model publicly. The platform uses optional analytics cookies but does not receive plaintext files or passwords from Vault or Pass operations.
