Quokka Q-scout

Q-scout is a mobile app vetting product for Android and iOS applications used within enterprise mobile fleets. It analyzes apps off-device in cloud-based sandboxed environments using static, dynamic, and runtime behavioral analysis to identify security, privacy, and compliance risks before apps reach employee devices. The product integrates with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools such as Microsoft Intune, Hexnode UEM, Ivanti Neurons for MDM, and Omnissa Workspace ONE, pulling app inventories from managed devices and continuously vetting apps as they are installed, updated, or removed. Deployment is agentless, running without any software installed on end-user devices. Q-scout evaluates apps for behaviors such as app collusion, supply-chain compromises, zero-day malware, unauthorized background services, sideloaded code, and hidden permissions. It also traces data flows to detect whether apps or embedded SDKs send data to unknown external servers or offshore locations, and flags over-broad permissions and unencrypted data transfers. Organizations can configure compliance rules to allow or block apps based on behavior, permissions, SDKs, and network activity. App risk assessments can be mapped to standards such as GDPR and the OWASP Mobile Top 10 to support audits and insurance evaluations.
