AuthN by IDEE is a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution designed to address the limitations of both password-only authentication and first-generation MFA technologies (such as PUSH, QR, SMS, and OTP). The product is positioned as a second-generation MFA solution ("MFA 2.0") aimed at providing phishing-resistant authentication across all users and systems, including those without access to a second device. IDEE developed an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Security Risk Assessment Tool in collaboration with the UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). This tool is based on the Centre for Internet Security (CIS) Risk Assessment Method and conforms to established standards including ISO/IEC 27005, NIST SP 800-30, and RISK IT. It generates tailored IAM Security Risk Reports based on an organization's existing authentication methods and account management systems. The risk assessment report evaluates deployments across four categories: - Identity Proofing - Authenticator - SF Authentication - Account Management The tool provides risk scores and vulnerability breakdowns for common deployment types, including password-only setups (risk score: 90/100) and first-generation MFA solutions such as PUSH (risk score: 86/100), highlighting vulnerabilities such as phishing, AiTM attacks, credential stuffing, SMS interception, and keylogging. AuthN by IDEE supports deployment across on-premise and cloud directories and covers a range of use cases and device types as illustrated in its architecture diagram.
