FS-ISAC Description

FS-ISAC (Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center) is a member-driven, not-for-profit organization that serves the global financial services sector. The organization operates as a threat intelligence sharing community for financial institutions worldwide, including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, payments processors, securities firms, exchanges, fintech companies, and other financial sector entities. The organization provides three core pillars of services: Intelligence, Security, and Resilience. Through its Intelligence Exchange platform, members receive tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence and analysis products covering active incidents and long-term trends. The Security pillar facilitates relationship building through communities, events, and knowledge sharing among cybersecurity professionals in the financial sector. The Resilience pillar offers incident response support, exercises, playbooks, and training to help members prepare for and respond to cyber incidents. FS-ISAC maintains member confidentiality through the Traffic Light Protocol trust model. The organization operates globally with follow-the-sun coverage across three regions: Americas (110 staff, ~140 events annually), EMEA (18 staff, ~75 events annually), and APAC (13 staff, ~50 events annually). Members participate in specialized working groups focused on specific regions, sub-sectors, topics, and roles within organizations. The organization has operated for over 25 years, working to protect the global financial system infrastructure. FS-ISAC also runs a scholarship program and recognizes industry leaders through its Global Leader Awards program. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors elected from its membership, comprising CISOs and security executives from major financial institutions.
