It continuously collects commands executed and sessions initiated by privileged accounts, analyzes this activity with algorithms to detect anomalous behavior, and generates real-time alerts when policy violations occur. The tool produces a complete audit trail of privileged-user actions, including who performed an action, what was changed, and when it occurred, to support forensic analysis and incident investigation. It is designed specifically for cloud infrastructure, providing visibility into privileged activity across AWS, GCP, and Azure, rather than general on-premises or enterprise environments. The feature integrates with other Teriam capabilities, including cloud identity and access management for a unified view of identities, permissions, and privileged activity, unused access detection to remove permissions no longer needed, and an AWS policy generator that produces remediation code when an access policy requires correction. It is intended to reduce manual log review by filtering activity data and highlighting relevant policy violations, and to support audit readiness for standards such as SOX and HIPAA by providing reports and records of privilege escalation approvals.
