SEK Managed Detection & Response (MDR) is a managed security service that combines AI-driven detection agents with human analysts to monitor, triage, and respond to security threats around the clock. The service covers six areas: AI-driven detection and response, SIEM monitoring and correlation (using SEK's own platform or Google SecOps), endpoint and network detection (EDR/XDR), continuous threat hunting, incident response (on-demand or retainer, activated within 3 hours), and digital forensics (DFIR) for root-cause, exfiltration, and persistence analysis. The MDR workflow follows five stages: collection (log normalization and correlation across sources such as Radar, Google SecOps, XDR, XSIAM, and EDR), detection (threat intelligence and IOC enrichment with automated 24/7 triage), investigation (threat hunting, rule engineering), notification (escalation with reporting and human validation on critical incidents), and containment (coordinated response and root-cause analysis with the client). SEK reports internal operational metrics for the service, including an average time to acknowledge (MTTA) of 6.2 minutes, average time to resolve (MTTR) of 7.7 minutes, and a false positive rate of 13%. The service is positioned for organizations with hybrid IT/OT environments, highly critical assets, regulatory requirements (data protection, ISO 27001, central banking), understaffed SOC teams, disconnected security tooling, or a need for executive-level reporting.
