Goldilock TruAirgap™ is a hardware network appliance that provides physical network isolation through remote, out-of-band control. The device is a 1U rackmount 12-port Ethernet (RJ45) appliance that operates at OSI Layer 1, functioning equivalently to a remotely controllable patch cable rather than a hub or switch. The appliance is controlled via non-IP, out-of-band communications — specifically SMS with number filtering — rather than over the internet. This allows administrators to remotely connect or disconnect individual ports or entire network segments in seconds without using an internet-based control channel. Each port can be individually enabled or disabled via command-based SMS messaging, with 2FA/OTP authentication and challenge/response verification. Two user roles are defined: Administrator (accesses the management port physically at the rear of the device) and User (controls ports remotely via SMS only).
