Deepnet Security DualTrust
Sandboxed browser in a VM to block malware, keyloggers & Trojans.
Deepnet Security DualTrust Description
DualTrust is a sandboxed browser solution that runs a web browser inside an isolated virtual machine to protect users from malware, keyloggers, and Trojans present on the host operating system. Unlike conventional browsers that may run a sandbox inside the browser, DualTrust inverts this model by running a browser (Chrome) inside a sandboxed environment. It uses a hardened Linux guest OS running in VirtualBox to fully isolate the browsing session from the host operating system. This prevents malware on the host from interfering with or infecting the browser. Each time DualTrust is restarted, the system resets to a certified boot image, removing any malware that may have been introduced during the previous browsing session. DualTrust is designed to be lightweight and portable. It runs on top of an existing operating system without requiring a system reboot, and can also be deployed directly from a USB drive without software installation. Primary use cases include online banking, e-trading, and web shopping — scenarios where identity theft and credential interception are significant risks.
