Remote Asset Discovery (RAD) is a remote maritime cybersecurity assessment service for shipowners and fleet operators. It discovers and inventories all connected IT and OT assets aboard a vessel without requiring physical onboard presence or hardware installation. The process involves deploying a lightweight software agent, which is transferred digitally to the vessel (e.g., emailed to the Captain). The agent performs passive scanning of the onboard network environment, completing data gathering in approximately 60 minutes. The agent is certified by ClassNK to have no observable impact on OT systems such as navigation and propulsion. Upon completion, analysts process the collected data and generate a detailed report (typically 50 pages) containing an asset inventory and cybersecurity threat analysis, delivered within hours to a few business days. RAD also supports transition to continuous monitoring via a Managed SOC service, where the same agent remains installed and SOC analysts monitor assets 24/7 for unauthorised software or unusual behaviour. The service is positioned to assist shipowners in meeting maritime cybersecurity compliance requirements, including E26 readiness, and in demonstrating cyber resilience to insurers and Flag states — replacing the need for weeks of coordination and intrusive onboard surveys.
