SoftControl Change Monitoring is a file integrity and configuration change monitoring tool designed for use in enterprise and government IT infrastructures. It tracks changes to configuration files, registry keys, and system policies by comparing current states against a defined baseline (reference state). The product combines three functional classes: **FIM (File Integrity Monitoring):** Detects changes to monitored files, registry keys, and policies in real time using dynamic monitoring. Captures shadow copies of file content, computes checksums, records attribute states, and logs which user made a change, when, and by what method. Also supports scheduled and event-triggered static monitoring. **IMP (Incident Management Process):** Maintains a change history for monitored objects and provides a single-console view for comparing object attributes and content across different points on a timeline, enabling security officers to classify events as incidents based on precise data. **SCM (Security Configuration Management):** Detects deviations in file, registry, and policy configurations from baseline states. Maintains an operations log of configuration changes to systems and security controls, and supports regulatory compliance audits.
