Packet Capture (cStor®) is a packet capture and analytics observability solution available as physical and virtual appliances. It captures and analyzes network packets at line-rate speeds ranging from 10 to 200 Gbps, storing data to persistent storage that scales from 288 TB to over 2 petabytes. The appliance combines compute, storage, and networking in a single device. It performs lossless packet capture with simultaneous read/write access, enabling immediate retrieval of captured packets. An onboard indexing engine supports fast querying and retrieval for network forensics and incident response. Output formats include charts, tables, and raw PCAP files with error and event overlays. Onboard Wireshark integration is included for packet-level analysis. Configurable Syslog and SNMP alerts cover frame errors, frame drops, microbursts, and link statistics. The solution supports deployment on physical appliances, existing industry-standard servers, and cloud or virtual environments. In virtual deployments, storage scales elastically using native cloud provider disk volumes. Real-time analytics provide visibility into TCP sessions, UDP, latency, hop-to-hop, and middlebox characterization.
