Validaitor AI Third-Party Risk Management (AI TPRM) is a module that extends existing vendor risk management processes to cover AI capabilities embedded in already-approved third-party software. Many enterprise applications gain AI features, such as assistants, agents, summarization, or automated decision-making, through routine software updates rather than new procurement decisions. This means an organization's existing application inventory and vendor reviews may not reflect the current AI functionality, data usage, model dependencies, or connectors present in the software it already uses. The product connects due diligence, contracts, controls, and ownership records across the vendor lifecycle stages of identify, triage, review, decide and control, monitor, and reassess or offboard. It performs AI-specific due diligence covering intended use and impact, data handling, model and fourth-party supply chain dependencies, access and autonomy of the AI system, performance and human oversight, and legal classification and evidence. Validaitor collects source-linked vendor evidence, connects specific AI capabilities to their organizational use cases, assigns risks and controls, and routes remediation or approval work to accountable owners such as TPRM, business owners, procurement and legal, security and privacy teams, and IT/application owners. It also monitors for material vendor product changes and changes in organizational use to keep the third-party AI risk record current, supporting alignment with regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act.
