SAESOL Tech S2X Probe

S2X Probe is a fuzzing test system designed to verify the robustness and security of V2X (vehicle-to-everything) communication software. The tool operates by injecting random or unexpected data into V2X communication interfaces to determine whether the device under test (DUT) malfunctions. It is intended for use in connected car and software-defined vehicle (SDV) environments where communication software testing needs are increasing. S2X Probe supports testing against major DSRC and LTE-V2X communication standards, including MDPU (IEEE 802.11), WSM (IEEE 1609.3), SPDU (IEEE 1609.2), and APDU (SAE J2735). The system can be combined with static analysis, execution testing, and standards conformance tests, and it supports rapid generation and execution of test cases using automated test tools. S2X Probe is used to identify: - Vulnerabilities in error-handling routines that may be insufficiently validated, including malfunctions and memory exhaustion in repeated error-handling - Vulnerabilities in data boundary checks - Errors in random data handling routines, including handling of invalid or unused values - Errors caused by high-speed, high-volume data processing, such as memory exhaustion without a maximum data limit - Crashes, code verification failures, potential memory leaks, and other bugs The product is part of SAESOL Tech's mobility security portfolio, alongside S2X Tester 2.0 and S2X Crypto.
