Quantum key distribution platform using prime-indexed phase rotations (PB-QKD).
QbitShield is a Quantum Key Distribution & QRNG product by QbitShield. Pricing is commercial (price not published).
QbitShield is a quantum key distribution (QKD) platform that implements a proprietary Prime-Basis QKD (PB-QKD) protocol using Prime Harmonic Modulation (PHM). Rather than using the standard Hadamard basis found in BB84, the platform prepares quantum states using prime-indexed phase rotations, where each qubit is encoded as |ψ_p⟩ = (1/√2)(|0⟩ + e^(iπ/p)|1⟩). The platform has been validated on real quantum hardware including IBM Quantum (ibm_fez Heron QPU) and IonQ devices, accessed via Amazon Braket. Hardware validation results from November 2025 report 6.3x improved mutual information and 12.7x improved effective channel information compared to baseline implementations. Key generation is accessible via a REST API, where users supply prime sequences, timing parameters, and measurement bases to produce cryptographic key material. The protocol includes multi-basis operation beyond standard BB84, error correction, and privacy amplification. Platform features include: - Encrypted object storage - HSM (Hardware Security Module) integration - Audit logging and key provenance controls - Configurable multi-basis QKD operation - Prime-modulated quantum circuit transforms with unitary fidelity testing - Qubit placement and gate scheduling optimization to minimize crosstalk - Exportable compiled circuits for inspection and benchmarking Statistical randomness of generated key material is tested in real-time against NIST SP 800-22 standards using scipy-based implementations, covering 15 test categories including frequency, runs, matrix rank, DFT, linear complexity, and approximate entropy tests. The underlying PB-QKD method is covered by a non-provisional patent application (NPA-N417-2025, filed July 2025). Planned certifications include NIST SP 800-90B entropy source validation and FIPS 140-3. The platform also lists ML-KEM and ML-DSA (post-quantum cryptography standards) on its roadmap. Note: QbitShield is currently intended for evaluation and development use only and is not certified for production cryptographic deployments.
