Boomi AI Gateway

Lunar.dev AI Gateway is a production-grade API gateway designed specifically for managing and securing outbound AI/LLM traffic in AI-driven applications. Core functionality: - Acts as a proxy layer between applications and AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), enforcing policies on all outbound LLM API calls - Deployable as a self-hosted cluster with multi-tenant support and minimal added latency Observability: - Tracks every LLM call and tool action with visibility into token usage, cost, latency, and errors - Supports monitoring of agent decisions, triggered tools, and MCP server interactions - Allows collection of custom KPIs such as token usage per agent, error rates, and model cost efficiency Traffic Controls: - Rate limiting per user, application, or agent to prevent overuse and avoid provider rate caps - Priority queuing to route critical production requests ahead of background or non-urgent agent traffic - Intelligent load balancing across gateway clusters for high availability and traffic spike resilience Security Enforcement (aligned with OWASP LLM risk categories): - Prompt injection defense: inspects, validates, and filters all outbound traffic before it reaches the model - Data sanitization: redacts or filters sensitive data from prompts and tool inputs before transmission - Sensitive information disclosure prevention: enforces header stripping and outbound payload auditing - Excessive agency controls: fine-grained per-tool access policies, scoped permissions, and human-in-the-loop gating Routing & Transformation: - Dynamic LLM model routing across providers based on task type, token usage, or cost - In-flight modification of prompts, tool calls, and response payloads via a payload transformer Pricing: Free tier available; commercial plans implied for production/enterprise use.
