FTAPI SecuMails is an encrypted email communication solution designed for organizations that need to send and receive sensitive data in compliance with regulations such as GDPR (DSGVO) and NIS-2. It enables users to send encrypted emails and attachments directly from Microsoft Outlook (via an add-in for both new and classic Outlook) or through a web browser interface, without requiring any technical knowledge on the part of the sender or recipient. The product supports S/MIME integration, with automatic selection of the appropriate encryption method: if the recipient supports S/MIME, the system applies certificate-based encryption automatically; otherwise, FTAPI's proprietary encryption is used as a fallback. S/MIME certificates are centrally created, renewed, and managed within the platform. There are no file size limits for attachments, bypassing typical Exchange server restrictions. Recipients do not need their own license or special software to receive encrypted messages. The solution supports multiple encryption layers, including end-to-end encryption. The product is targeted at organizations handling sensitive personal or confidential data — including public administration, healthcare, and enterprise sectors — where secure email communication is a compliance requirement.
