enclaive Nitride

enclaive Nitride is a workload identity management solution built on confidential computing principles. It addresses security gaps in cloud environments where sensitive data can be inadvertently exposed to service providers, even when encryption measures such as data-at-rest encryption and BYOK are in place. Nitride assigns unique cryptographic identities to workloads using confidential compute hardware, enabling automatic identity assignment and rotation across multi-cloud environments. It enforces access control policies ensuring that only attested (verified) workloads can access data, processes, and services. The platform maps the hardware and software supply chain — including firmware, program code, repositories, and packages — and monitors the trustworthiness of workloads through automated mechanisms. Workloads can be run in confidential environments across private, hybrid, or multi-cloud infrastructure, with fine-grained privilege enforcement for organizations, groups, users, and services. Nitride also supports compliance with data residency regulations by ensuring data stays within predefined geographical boundaries, and assists with audit and reporting requirements for frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIS2. Access management processes including resource provisioning and de-provisioning are automated, with access rights updated dynamically in response to changing operational needs.
