SKA-Platform is a quantum-safe key agreement and encryption platform designed to secure communications across networked devices. It operates through lightweight software agents deployed on individual endpoints, dynamically generating encryption keys based on predefined security and network policies. The platform includes two main components: - SKA Edge Controller (SKA-EC): Deployable on hardware, core networks, or cloud environments. - SKA Central Controller (SKA-CC): Provisioned in virtualized data centers or cloud infrastructure to support quantum-safe communications across thousands of endpoints, including mobile devices, uCPE, and Private 5G base stations. Authentication and Key Management: During device registration, each device receives a bootstrap key — delivered manually or Over-the-Air (OTA) — using multiple Post-Quantum Algorithms (PQAs), including the NIST-standardized ML-KEM algorithm. This key is used for mutual authentication with SKA-Platform and rotated per session to achieve perfect forward secrecy. The key agreement protocol brokers shared encryption keys between devices using industry-standard cryptography, optionally incorporating NIST ML-KEM between endpoints. Key capabilities include: - On-demand, one-time-use encryption key generation aligned with zero trust architecture - Unlimited key volume generation, scalable to variable group sizes - Dynamic management of device entry and exit within groups - Crypto agility: cryptographic algorithms can be updated or swapped as PQC standards evolve - FIPS-compliant cryptography via standard interfaces - SDK support for application developers and system integrators The platform aligns with NIST, NCSC, and government recommendations on quantum-safe protections.
