Defguard Mobile VPN Client is an open-source VPN client application that supports WireGuard protocol across desktop platforms (Linux, macOS, Windows) and mobile devices (iOS, Android). The client provides multi-factor authentication capabilities for WireGuard connections, including biometric authentication support on mobile devices. The application supports management of multiple VPN instances and locations within a single client interface. This design accommodates managed service providers, cloud providers, and data centers that need to deploy multiple isolated Defguard instances for different clients or sites while maintaining unified access through one application. The client enables real-time synchronization of VPN configurations, allowing administrators to push configuration updates and access management changes that are immediately reflected on user devices. Administrators can manage client behavior settings, such as enabling full traffic routing through the VPN or restricting specific client features. Connection monitoring includes detailed statistics, logs, and tunnel information displaying IP addresses, ports, DNS settings, and routing tables. The client supports both Intel and ARM architectures across supported platforms. The application is compatible with any WireGuard server through configuration import, though the 2FA/multi-factor authentication functionality requires connection to a Defguard server instance. The client supports both Defguard internal multi-factor authentication and external SSO providers including Google, Microsoft, and Okta.
