ScruteX Agentic Pen Testing Description
ScruteX Agentic Pen Testing is a penetration testing service that uses AI agents to autonomously test external attack surfaces, web applications, APIs, and authentication flows.
Instead of running fixed scripts or signature-based checks, the agents reason about observed environment signals, form hypotheses about likely weaknesses, attempt exploits, and adapt their approach when a technique is blocked by defenses such as WAFs or rate limiters. Agents chain lower-severity findings into multi-step attack paths, attempt privilege escalation and lateral movement after gaining a foothold, and pursue defined objectives (e.g., compromising an admin panel or accessing customer data) across sessions.
The testing process is organized into five phases: reconnaissance, discovery, exploitation, escalation, and reporting. Findings are delivered as attack narratives that include the reasoning chain, steps taken, evidence collected, impact assessment, remediation guidance, and mapped MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
Coverage includes the OWASP Top 10 for web applications, the OWASP API Security Top 10 (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), and MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise and Cloud matrices, as well as external attack surface checks such as subdomain enumeration, open port/service exposure, TLS/SSL misconfiguration, exposed credentials, cloud misconfiguration, and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Findings can be mapped to regulatory frameworks including TIBAS, iCAST, C-RAF, APRA CPS 234, Essential Eight, DORA TLPT, SAMA, FEER, MAS TRM, PCI DSS v4.0, ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type II, NIST CSF 2.0, and CWE Top 25.
The service also offers human-in-the-loop options: expert co-sign of reports, regulatory submission packages, purple team debrief sessions, and verified closure attestation after remediation. Continuous re-testing of attack chains after fixes is available on demand.
