Oracle Data Safe

Oracle Data Safe is a cloud service in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) that secures Oracle databases. It finds sensitive data, checks security settings and user accounts, masks data for test use, and audits database activity. Teams run all of these jobs from one console. Security Assessment reviews database settings, user accounts and security controls, and compares them to benchmarks such as STIG and CIS. User Assessment flags highly privileged or risky accounts. Data Discovery scans data and metadata to find sensitive columns. Data Masking replaces real values with fake but realistic ones in non-production copies, and Data Subsetting builds smaller test datasets. Activity Auditing collects audit records and manages audit policies, which helps with compliance reports and incident investigations. Alerts give near real-time notice of unusual activity. SQL Firewall management helps block SQL injection and misuse of stolen accounts. Data Safe runs as a managed OCI service, so there is nothing to install for cloud targets. It connects to Autonomous AI Databases, Oracle cloud databases, Cloud@Customer databases, on-premises Oracle databases, Oracle databases on compute in other clouds, and Amazon RDS for Oracle. On-premises and private targets connect through an on-premises connector or a private endpoint. It fits mid-size and large organizations that run Oracle databases.
