GlobalSign Atlas is a cloud-based Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) platform designed to support certificate lifecycle management within DevSecOps environments. It provides centralized visibility and management of digital certificates across enterprise infrastructure. Atlas addresses the challenges of managing TLS/SSL certificates in dynamic DevOps pipelines by automating certificate issuance, deployment, and renewal processes. It serves as a standards-compliant, outsourced Certificate Authority (CA) that covers multiple certificate use cases across DevOps tool stacks. Key use cases supported by Atlas include: - Securing CI/CD pipelines with TLS certificates - Securing software supply chains with code signing certificates - Securing Kubernetes workloads and pod-to-pod communications - Securing machine and human identities with TLS certificates - Securing service mesh communications - Securing web servers and Ingress resources The platform exposes native APIs supporting authentication mechanisms including OAuth and API tokens, enabling automated certificate issuance across DevOps toolchains. It supports the ACME protocol for toolchain integration and provides automated expiration alerts and notifications. Atlas also encompasses a Dedicated Private CA offering, including branded intermediates, roots, and hierarchies hosted by GlobalSign.
