EPICOM EP960

EP960 Cifrador Personal is a compact, hardware-based IP encryptor from EPICOM designed for deployable, mobile, or office environments. It establishes secure virtual private networks (VPNs) over public IP networks such as the Internet using a proprietary encryption mode equivalent to IPSec in tunnel mode, operating at layer 3 of the OSI model. The device is approved to handle nationally classified information up to the DIFUSIÓN LIMITADA level and is qualified at the high level under the Spanish National Security Framework (ENS). Connectivity: - Two Ethernet/IEEE 802.3 interfaces with RJ45 100BaseT connectors (one for LAN-side connection, one for WAN-side connection) - An additional USB 2.0 HS WAN interface for connecting Wifi or 3G/4G compatible devices as an alternative to Ethernet cable for WAN connection Operation: - All traffic received from the LAN in cleartext is encrypted and encapsulated in UDP datagrams before being sent to the WAN - Operates continuously with 24-hour uninterrupted service - Always operates in encrypted mode; does not support cleartext (unencrypted) operation - Configuration is performed via the console port or via SSH from the red (protected) network - Interoperates with the EP430DIC IP encryptor model
