Duality AI Assistant is a natural language-driven research agent that operates on top of the Duality Platform to enable privacy-preserving data analysis across sensitive datasets. It is designed to interpret research goals, navigate data entitlements, and execute secure computations without exposing raw data. The product consists of three components: - Research AI Assistant: Interprets user goals, plans and executes research tasks, and summarizes findings without accessing raw data directly. - Duality MCP Server: Acts as a policy-aware intermediary that manages the tools and permissions available to the assistant, enforcing contextual and secure operations. - Duality Platform: The underlying privacy-first infrastructure that manages entitlements, enforces governance, and performs secure analytics using Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) including Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), Federated Learning, and Differential Privacy. Users interact with the assistant through a natural language interface, submitting research questions in plain English without needing to know underlying schemas or query syntax. The assistant can discover available datasets and workloads, run end-to-end research workflows, and generate downloadable reports with visualizations. Users can also upload domain-specific content to customize and enrich their assistant into a domain-expert agent. Data remains encrypted during storage, in transit, and during computation. The assistant operates within a governed environment where sensitive assets are not exposed during analysis.
