Cigent SSD UxV is a hardware-based data-at-rest (DAR) protection solution designed for manned and unmanned vehicles (UxV) operating in forward-deployed or contested environments. It provides two layers of encryption aligned with the NSA's Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) DAR Capability Package 5.0, combining AES-256 hardware full-drive encryption with software Full Drive Encryption (FDE). Key protection mechanisms include: - Pre-Boot Authentication (PBA) to prevent OS-level bypass of encryption - Locked storage ranges at the firmware layer to block cloning and forensic extraction - Segmented, independently locked partitions with per-user access controls - Multi-factor authentication at the device level The solution addresses Advanced Data Recovery (ADR) threats such as chip-off extraction and electron-microscopy analysis through AES-256 encryption and hardened firmware. Encryption keys are never stored in their entirety on the drive. Data sanitization capabilities include crypto erasure, full block-level erasure, and firmware-verified erasure, executable locally, remotely, or via automated triggers (e.g., loss of communication or altitude drop). Insider threat mitigation is provided through immutable, tamper-proof access logs exportable to enterprise management or SIEM tools, combined with partition-based data segmentation. The product is available in multiple form factors: Secure Drive 2230, BGA, SD, and MicroSD, all meeting automotive or industrial temperature standards. Compliance validations include NIST, FIPS 140-2, TCG Opal 2.0, and NIAP Common Criteria FDE_EE.
