Rank is an autonomous pentest platform from Aleex AI that uses agents to perform reconnaissance, enumeration and analysis on web, API or server (host) targets. Execution modes: - Automatic mode runs three phases using OWASP Top 10 with default agents and handles vulnerability processing and run completion without intervention. - Guided mode lets the user choose the methodology (OWASP Top 10 or PTES) and assign 3-4 agents per phase, process findings manually and close the run. Key characteristics: - Rules of Engagement (RoE) are mandatory and fail-closed: a run does not start without active rules, and deny rules always take precedence. - Agents call real tools and findings are validated deterministically for specific vulnerability classes. - Custom agents with the user's own tools and instructions can be added on paid plans. - Sealed reports (executive, technical, attestation) are issued after findings are validated. - Product-level exploitation is not included. Some findings can be flagged as needs_manual_review. - Live SSE stream of runs, pentest states (draft, configured, running, completed, paused, cancelled, archived, failed), ticket-based remediation loop with retest after ticket closure. - CLI (rank-cli), API and SDK (rank-sdk), plus automations with Jira, GitHub and Slack.
