VirtualMetric develops a security data pipeline platform used by security teams to collect, process, and route security telemetry. The company was founded in 2016 by systems engineer Yusuf Ozturk, originally addressing IT monitoring and log management needs before expanding into an enterprise-grade platform. The core product, DataStream, is a security data pipeline designed to work alongside Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems such as Microsoft Sentinel. It provides real-time data filtering, enrichment, and routing capabilities, allowing organizations to manage the volume of security data sent to their SIEM, with the stated aim of reducing SIEM-related costs while helping security teams focus on relevant threat data. VirtualMetric's platform is used for multiple purposes, including digital services performance monitoring, cybersecurity data management, and log management for compliance requirements. The company's customer base includes organizations in Europe, the United States, and Australia, with early clients including Avanade, Turkcell, and Turk Telekom. Originally started as a personal project, the company has grown into a team of more than 15 people and is now headquartered in the Netherlands, serving enterprise customers globally.
