PhishTriage develops a browser extension and portal for identifying phishing attempts and suspicious web pages. The extension integrates with Gmail and Outlook web interfaces, allowing users to scan an email or webpage with a single click. It reads only the content visible on screen - subject line, sender, reply-to address, links, and attachment names - without accessing the full mailbox or opening attachments. The tool produces a plain-language verdict describing what entity a message impersonates and what information it is attempting to obtain, such as passwords, payment details, or two-factor codes. This verdict is supported by a case file showing nine independent checks, the signals that triggered them, and identified indicators of compromise. An optional background protection feature checks visited websites against threat intelligence data, by hostname by default, and displays a warning page before a user interacts with a flagged site. A more invasive full-URL checking mode is available as a separate opt-in setting. A separate file-protection feature can inspect downloaded files, sending only a hash by default unless a user requests a deeper check. For organizations, PhishTriage offers a team portal where an invite code creates an organization and additional devices can join as seats. Enterprise deployment supports managed browser policy rollout and self-hosting of the backend infrastructure so that traffic remains within an organization's own systems. The product is offered as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Firefox. Individual use is available free of charge with usage limits, while organizational use is offered under annual invoiced enterprise agreements that include a shared dashboard, managed rollout tools, and aggregate reporting.
