DarkLink is an Ethernet Data Encryptor (EDE) product line designed to meet DoD Ethernet Data Encryption compliance specifications. It encrypts all network transport data at the Ethernet layer, including routing and file metadata, using 256-bit AES-GCM mode encryption with integrity authentication. DarkLink establishes secure, private networks between multiple sites using Secturion's MESH technology. The product line includes three hardware variants: - DarkLink-10G Tactical EDE: Designed for tactical/field environments, meeting DoD EDE environmental requirements at 10 Gbps throughput. - DarkLink-100G EDE: Enterprise-level encryptor supporting 100 Gbps throughput, utilizing MESH technology for multi-site private networking. - DarkLink-400G EDE: Enterprise-level encryptor supporting up to 400 Gbps throughput, utilizing MESH technology for multi-site private networking. DarkLink addresses the threat of network traffic interception, where even observing encrypted data transfers can expose metadata such as unencrypted file names, email headers, and file destinations. By encrypting at the Ethernet layer, it protects this metadata alongside the data payload. DarkLink can also negotiate unencrypted Ethernet connections, allowing it to operate alongside existing EDE data connections when needed. The product negotiates transmission keys and manages secure connections between sites.
