MirrorTab Description
MirrorTab provides automation defense technology that blocks bots, fraud tools, and AI-powered attacks targeting web applications and APIs. The company's approach removes the Document Object Model (DOM) from the end-user browser by rendering applications server-side at the edge, preventing automated tools from accessing or manipulating application code, data, and APIs. The platform integrates with existing edge infrastructure including CDNs, WAFs, and fraud detection systems without requiring code changes or client-side installations. It can be triggered based on WAF signals, bot scores, authentication states, or feature flags to selectively protect high-risk workflows and transactions. MirrorTab addresses threats including account takeovers, concurrent session exploitation, content scraping, transaction fraud, malicious browser extensions, cookie and token theft, formjacking, API abuse, script injection, and agentic AI attacks. By preventing DOM exposure to the end browser, the technology blocks man-in-the-browser attacks and stops malicious extensions from reading or modifying form data, transaction details, or API traffic. The company was founded by the CTO and co-founder of Honey, which was acquired by PayPal. The technology serves organizations protecting external-facing web applications and APIs, particularly for sensitive workflows like banking transactions and post-login operations. MirrorTab also offers Trusty, a consumer-focused secure browsing product for online banking and healthcare activities.
