anon.li is a privacy-focused software platform offering two core products: anonymous email aliasing and end-to-end encrypted file sharing. The email aliasing product, anon.li Alias, allows users to generate random or custom email addresses that forward messages to their real inbox. Users can reply to forwarded emails through the alias without exposing their actual address. The service supports custom domains with DNS verification and DKIM signing, PGP forwarding for recipients with configured public keys, multiple verified recipients per alias on paid plans, and vault-encrypted labels and notes for organization. The file sharing product, anon.li Drop, performs AES-256-GCM encryption entirely in the browser before uploading files. Shared links contain the decryption key in the URL fragment or behind a user-set password, meaning the server cannot access file contents (zero-knowledge architecture). Recipients can decrypt files in their browser without creating an account. Features include support for files up to 250GB, password protection, expiry dates, download limits, QR code sharing, and vault key recovery. Both products are supported by a REST API for automation, a command-line interface (CLI), browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome, and an MCP server enabling OAuth-based access for AI tools and agents. The platform is open source, allowing inspection of security-sensitive code. Account security features include TOTP-based two-factor authentication, and users can export their data or delete their account from the dashboard. anon.li targets individuals and professionals who prioritize online privacy and wish to protect their email identity and shared files from exposure.
