SecureNinja Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a four-day training course focused on Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements and the Risk Management Framework for federal systems. The course provides instruction on the federal system authorization process and covers NIST standards including SP 800-37 Revision 1, SP 800-39, SP 800-30, SP 800-34, SP 800-53 Revision 4, SP 800-53A, SP 800-60, and FIPS 199. The training includes scenario-based hands-on exercises covering system authorization processes and RMF elements. Students learn to develop Systems Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for federal information systems. The course is CNSS approved and aligned with the C&A transformation process. Course modules cover critical definitions and policies, C&A transformation overview, roles and responsibilities, accreditation boundaries, system categorization, security control selection, implementation and documentation, security control assessment, system authorization, system monitoring, and reciprocity. The training can be tailored to specific military branch requirements including Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, DISA, and COCOM/Joint requirements. The course is delivered as an onsite format for groups of five or more participants and includes printed training materials and reference documentation on CD.
