RedWolf Self Serve Testing Description

RedWolf Self Serve Testing is a portal-based platform that enables organizations to conduct controlled DDoS attack simulations against their own infrastructure. The platform provides a web portal with multi-factor authentication and IP-based access restrictions for secure access. The service requires mandatory training that must be refreshed every six months. Organizations can configure multiple safety limiters to control testing parameters, including restrictions on target IP addresses, domains, and URLs, time windows for testing, and separation between production and test environments. The platform supports both volumetric and layer 7 attack vectors, with initial accounts limited to 5 Gigabit/sec for volumetric attacks. Users can script complex attacks using real web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge. Multiple attack vectors can be blended and run simultaneously against single or multiple targets. During active tests, users can dynamically modify parameters including changing targets, switching attack vectors, and adjusting the number and geographic distribution of attacking agents. The platform supports IPv6 for many attack vectors, though availability depends on cloud provider support. RedWolf employs a methodology designed for safe testing of live production networks, recommending starting at low levels and carefully ramping up in controlled increments to minimize risk of actual outages.
