Mitigant Cloud Attack Emulation is a platform designed to validate cloud security controls by executing simulated attacks in AWS environments. The platform enables security teams to run real attack scenarios safely in production and non-production environments to identify exploitable security gaps. The platform includes an Attack Builder interface that allows users to construct custom cloud attacks using an intuitive workflow. Users can select from over 200 MITRE ATT&CK-mapped cloud attack techniques and configure AWS CLI commands with auto-complete functionality. Attacks can be defined as code in YAML format for automation and CI/CD integration. The platform provides atomic security tests called Attack Actions that emulate specific threat actor techniques targeting cloud services. These actions map to MITRE ATT&CK framework and tag known adversaries. Multi-step attack chains called Attack Scenarios emulate realistic attack campaigns, either based on cyber threat intelligence reports or custom-built for specific threat models. Safety features include automatic resource cleanup after attack execution, granular permission controls with admin, non-admin, or bring-your-own-role options, isolated attack execution to prevent impact on adjacent resources, attack preview capabilities before execution, and the ability to stop attacks mid-execution. The platform is available through AWS Marketplace and supports defining attacks as code for integration into automated security validation workflows.
