ProvenCore-M is a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for 32-bit microcontrollers, designed to enable secure embedded applications in industrial IoT and connected device markets. It operates as a secure OS on ARMv8-M (Cortex-M v8) processors, leveraging the TrustZone hardware mechanism to isolate a secure execution environment from a non-secure rich OS. This allows detailed configuration of device security, including control over peripherals and oversight of the rich OS state and behavior. Key security services provided include isolation, cryptography, key storage, and initial attestation, all compatible with GlobalPlatform APIs. The product is certified at PSA Level 3 (Platform Security Assurance, defined by Arm) and SESIP Level 3 (Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms, defined by GlobalPlatform), facilitating compliance and qualification processes for device manufacturers. ProvenCore-M is targeted at semiconductor players including chipmakers, IP suppliers, and IoT device builders.
