Real Time Dynamic Testing (RTDT) is a penetration testing methodology developed by Netragard for assessing applications, systems, or entire organizations. The methodology incorporates components from OWASP and OSSTMM frameworks while focusing on discovering both known and novel vulnerabilities. The testing process involves seven phases: reconnaissance to gather information about target infrastructure and technologies; footprinting to identify vulnerabilities and attack vectors; exploitation of identified weaknesses such as SQL injection or cross-site scripting; privilege escalation to gain elevated access; pivot and repeat to move laterally across networks; data exfiltration to test detection capabilities; and reporting to provide regular updates and comprehensive documentation. RTDT is conducted remotely with testers interacting with applications, services, and users to simulate real-world attack scenarios. The methodology aims to provide realistic assessments by testing in real-time, offering immediate feedback to developers and stakeholders. Testing incorporates bleeding edge offensive tactics and internal vulnerability research including zero-day discoveries. Reports detail the path to compromise, identified vulnerabilities, and remediation recommendations to enable clients to deploy effective defenses against active breaches.
