MessageSolution Enterprise Email Archive Platform (EEA) for IBM Domino is an email archiving, eDiscovery, and compliance solution designed to support IBM Domino server environments (versions 6.5–10) and IBM SmartCloud Email Service. The platform collects email and file data from Domino servers via the DIIOP API or Notes Connector, enabling granular archiving policies at the company, department/group, or individual mailbox level. Retention policies can be applied across multiple levels including server, group, mailbox, folder, and end user, with options for administrators to schedule mailbox archiving and manage Domino Journal box sizes for storage efficiency. Data at rest is protected using AES encryption, and an audit trail of archive access and search activity is maintained via a built-in search engine. The platform monitors server storage and critical processes, alerting administrators to issues as they arise. User and mailbox management is handled through integration with IBM Domino Directory or Active Directory, with automatic synchronization of user lists. Inactive mailbox data is preserved when a user is removed, and licenses can be reassigned. The platform includes an Advanced eDiscovery module with full-text indexing for case management, supporting features such as reviewer assignment, case creation and deletion, legal hold tagging, annotation, and Bates numbering for PDF export. IBM Notes/Lotus Notes client integration is provided via Notes Template or MSI Installer, allowing users to access archived data directly within their mail client. Offline archive access and mobile device access are also supported. Connectivity to IBM SmartCloud is available via Direct Link interconnection services, with archiving hosted in a SOC 2 audited datacenter. An additional MSecurity module provides protection against ransomware and unknown malware for IBM Notes users.
