MailXaminer's Skin Tone Analysis is a feature within the MailXaminer email forensics platform designed to assist digital investigators in identifying and extracting potentially objectionable or illicit images from email data. The feature operates by analyzing image files found in email attachments, using skin tone color detection to flag images that may be pornographic or otherwise objectionable. It is capable of scanning both direct image attachments and images embedded within other file types such as .doc and PDF files. Analyzed results are accessible under the Media tab's attachment section. Suspected attachments are automatically categorized into the following classes: - Drugs - Extremism - Gore - Porn - Swim - Weapons This feature is intended to reduce the time investigators spend manually reviewing email evidence, supporting digital forensic workflows in cases involving image-based digital crimes.
