MailStore Cloud is a cloud-based email archiving solution designed for small and medium-sized businesses. The product is hosted in an ISO-certified data center in Germany and operates on a monthly subscription model with flexible scaling for user licenses and storage capacity. The solution archives emails from multiple email systems including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange Server, Google Workspace, and generic IMAP/POP3 servers. It supports various archiving methods such as journaling via SMTP, automatic mailbox synchronization with folders, and archiving of single or multiple mailboxes. The system performs deduplication and can remove archived messages from mailboxes. MailStore Cloud provides compliance features including tamper-proof storage through encryption and digital signatures, configurable retention policies for managing email lifecycle, and a legal hold function that prevents deletion of archived emails. The solution includes full-text indexing of emails and attachments, enabling search capabilities across entire archives. User management is role-based with support for local and synchronized users from directory services including Entra-ID, Active Directory, and LDAP. Multi-factor authentication is supported via OAuth/OpenID Connect with single sign-on for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. The platform includes auditing capabilities that log user actions in a legally compliant manner. Access is provided through standard web browsers and an Outlook add-in. The service guarantees 99.9% availability with zone-redundant compute and data storage resources, and includes disaster recovery functionality.
