FixMeStick PRO is a bootable USB device designed to detect and remove malware, rootkits, and bootkits from Windows PCs and Intel-based Mac systems. It operates independently of the host operating system by booting from the USB device itself, which allows it to scan and clean infections that may be active or hidden while the OS is running. The device incorporates a parallel multi-scanner that runs three antivirus engines simultaneously — Avira, McAfee, and Sophos — and connects to the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence (GTI) service for up-to-date threat detection. Each scanner is loaded into RAM, with files fetched from disk once and passed to all scanners in parallel, resulting in scan times comparable to standard on-demand desktop scans. Automatic updates for program files and malware definitions are downloaded and stored directly on the device when an internet connection is available. The device supports both wired (Ethernet) and wireless (WiFi) connectivity, and can automatically use existing Windows WiFi credentials when booted from within Windows. FixMeStick PRO supports UEFI firmware and Windows Secure Boot. Multiple boot configuration options are provided via a bootloader menu. Any file quarantined during a scan can be restored with a single action. The device is licensed for use on unlimited computers for one year at $299.99 MSRP. It supports all PCs made after 2001 and Intel-based Macs from 2006 to 2017. It is not compatible with FusionDrive (Mac), Optane (PC), or RAID storage systems, and cannot decrypt files encrypted by ransomware.
