It is designed for enterprise and multi-site security operations, offering two distinct editions: - **Avigilon Alta Video**: A 100% serverless, cloud-native video management platform that supports flexible cloud storage and can add AI analytics to existing cameras via Cloud Connectors. - **Avigilon Unity Video**: An on-premise VMS that provides organizations full control over data and deployments, designed for compliance-sensitive and locked-down environments. Core capabilities include AI-powered video analytics that alert operators to security events in real time, machine learning-based video search using appearance and image detection, and customizable dashboards and views per user or group. The system supports automatic video compression to optimize storage and bandwidth, end-to-end encrypted data storage, and secure remote access. The platform uses an open architecture, allowing third-party IP cameras to connect to the software.
