SecureSky's Cloud Security Assessment is a professional consulting service that evaluates cloud security configurations, detection policies, and protective controls across SaaS and IaaS platforms to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Assessments are aligned with industry standards including CIS Foundations Benchmarks, for which SecureSky contributors are co-editors. Findings are compared against these benchmarks as well as SecureSky's own proprietary best-practice checks. The assessment process covers: - Evaluation of existing security configurations and settings across cloud environments - Review of detection policies and monitoring capabilities - Accounting for compensating controls (e.g., third-party identity, DLP, or monitoring tools) to avoid inaccurate risk reporting - Alignment with the organization's risk profile, compliance mandates, and budget Remediation recommendations are prioritized by security and compliance risk, compensating controls, license levels, user impact, and deployment effort. SecureSky consultants present findings to stakeholders and can assist with remediation design, deployment, and re-testing. Beyond point-in-time assessments, SecureSky also offers continuous Cloud and SaaS Security Posture Management (CSPM/SSPM) via its Active Protection Platform, which provides multi-cloud monitoring, configuration validation, enforcement, threat data collection, and automated response. Managed Detection and Response (MDR/XDR) services are also available as an extension of the assessment offering.
